Marriage

From the book Human Sacrifice: In 13 July 1988 letter from wife Nancy, “First, I love you and I’m thinking about you. It looks like I can’t call you so you must call me collect. Do it! . . The prison said you cannot have visitors until you’re ‘checked out’ and have a Physical. They say this may take a week to 10 days . . . Baby, you must find some serious strength in yourself to endure this. I will make every effort to see you and talk w/ you. You are my heart and soul. I am taking care of myself and am doing just fine. Much love. I love you, I love you. Nancy” (Human Sacrifice, p. 68)

From wife Nancy at trial, [Responding to question, "During the nine years that you've known Dennis, how close were you to him?"] “He was my companion and best friend… In the summertime, we spent all of our time together.” [TR p 1115]

From Dennis: “When it comes to my sex life, I would describe it as normal. Nancy’s trial testimony characterizes my sexuality well enough. I am a gentle and respectful lover. I never, ever asked any woman to do something she wasn’t comfortable doing.” (Letter 15 Feb 2003)

From wife Nancy at trial: [Responding to question, "How would you categorize your sexual relationship with Dennis?"] “Very loving. He’s a very sensitive and gentle man.” [She went on to say that she and Dennis had sex "regularly" and there were no "latent sexual issues between yourself and Dennis in late June 1988" and that Dennis had never used any kind of restraint or bondage with her during sex] [TR pp 1110-1111]
